Welcome to the Lab Webpage of Dr. Gary E. Belovsky, Professor and Gillen Chair, Director of University of Notre Dame Environmental Research Center.

Professor, Department of Biological Sciences - Conservation and Population Biology

I have studied herbivory (grasshopper and mammal) and ecosystems (vegetation and N-cycling) at the National Bison Range, MT (NBR) for 38 years. I have studied the Great Salt Lake ecosystem for 22 years. All of these studies have been addressed both empirically and through theoretical models.
